I took this image because of the complex patterns within it. The messiness of the row of bikes along with its jumble of colors was juxtaposed by the empty space to its left.
This photo emphasized the sizes and perspective of an individual. Seeing what should be considered large, the buildings, versus the crosswalk, which was smaller.
Though the array of colors in this photo were small in numbers, each color was bright. The figure is surrounded by white and green, which is also what he is wearing, and his size is distorted by the flag.
This image is contradictory. The landscape is extremely dark despite the large windows that decorate the sides and in the middle of this darkness is a bright red carpet.
This image was photo shopped very little -- the colors of the sky and clouds are natural and the blues of it complement the river. There is nothing to distract from the landscape as the buildings in the middle ground are completely darkened.
The cutoff of the building is jarring to the eye. It distorts the image of the building and seems out of place. The clouds seem as if they are coming off of the building, rather than behind it.
This image is a dichotomy. Sectioned off by a large and detailed pillar, the landscape is comprised of being inside the gate, disconnected from the outside world, and seeing where the other side of the fence leads to.
This photo is both asymmetrical and linear, distorting the sun into wavy patterns but giving a clear path of light back to the viewer. It is natural as you see land to the right and a small boat to the left.
This photo over exaggerates the length of the road it follows. The walls overflow on the page and the line of cars gives a claustrophobic atmosphere. Still, it feels desolate without anyone walking down it.
This photo's color palette is bright and warm. Its asymmetrical setup makes it less of a planned photo and more of a moment quickly captured.
